Weekend Adventures: Al Ain Family Day Trip
A complete itinerary for families with kids of all ages visiting Al Ain.

Getting There
Al Ain is about 1.5 hours from Dubai and 2 hours from Abu Dhabi. The drive is easy and scenic.
Morning: Al Ain Zoo
One of the best zoos in the region. Allow 2-3 hours. The giraffe feeding experience is a must.
Lunch: Al Ain Oasis
Pack a picnic or eat at one of the cafes near the oasis. The falaj irrigation system is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Afternoon: Jebel Hafeet
Drive up the mountain for stunning views. The road is smooth and safe. Great for photos at sunset.
Tips
- Bring water and sunscreen
- Visit during cooler months (Oct-Apr) for the best experience
- Al Ain is noticeably cooler than Dubai/Abu Dhabi
- The Green Mubazzarah at the base of Jebel Hafeet has hot springs and playgrounds
