Things to Do in Dubai This Weekend With Kids: 25–27 September 2026

Summer is winding down and the weekend plans are back. Here are eleven things to do in Dubai this weekend with kids, Friday 25 to Sunday 27 September, sorted by budget, from a AED 20 basketball family day to penguins at Ski Dubai, with two picks worth the drive to Abu Dhabi. Every one is on our family calendar.

Under AED 50: basketball, Onam and a free Louvre day

Dubai Basketball Family Day

Dubai Basketball opens its ABA League title defence at home, and Sunday's game is billed as a family day, with prizes and fan activations. Everyone over two needs a ticket, and under-16s come with an adult.

Orumichonam, a full day of Onam

A full-day Onam celebration, with food, cultural performances and activities for the whole family. A family ticket for four is AED 125.

Louvre Abu Dhabi, free for under-18s

Worth the drive: under-18s go free when booked with an adult, parking is included, and the galleries stay open until 8:30pm from Friday to Sunday.

AED 50 to 150: soft play, splash pads, camels and a choir

Adventure Parx + Cafe

Supervised indoor play for kids up to 150 cm: soft play, trampolines, a two-level rope course, a climbing wall and a gated toddler zone. Bring grip socks, or buy them at reception.

Splash 'n' Party kids waterpark

Splash pads and slides built for younger children, plus a juice bar for you. Child tickets include a kids' meal and a zipline (from age 4 and 105 cm). Swimwear only, and no outside food.

Camelicious camel farm tour

A 90-minute guided visit to a working camel dairy: feed the camels, watch the milking parlour, then taste the camel-milk ice cream. Closed-toe shoes needed.

One Day Choir, one for mum

No auditions, no experience: 150 people learn Coldplay's "Fix You" in a day and sing it together at the end. A morning to yourself, or bring a child aged 10 or over to sing with you.

Morning desert safari

Hotel pickup around 7am, dune bashing, sandboarding, a camel ride and falcon photos, back by lunchtime. Under-threes can't ride the dune drive, and it isn't suitable in pregnancy.

Worth the splurge: snow, sharks and K-pop

Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo

The tunnel under the tank, a rainforest zone and the King Croc, all indoors. Tickets include a AED 20 voucher for the aquarium shop and stay valid for 30 days. Under-twos go free.

Ski Dubai with a penguin encounter

The big one: unlimited snow rides, a ski lesson or slope pass, hot chocolate and 40 minutes with the penguins. Children under three can't enter, and under-13s wear helmets.

K-POP Fever

Twelve singers and dancers perform K-pop hits live, on a Saturday afternoon rather than late at night. No age limit; under-16s need an adult over 21.

Pluma, a water circus at Dubai Festival City Mall, opens on Wednesday 30 September, from AED 100 with under-twos free (tickets). Then Dubai Parks and Resorts on 7 October, Dubai Miracle Garden on 8 October (AED 30 for UAE residents, under-12s free), Dubai Safari Park on 12 October and Global Village on 14 October.
