Mother Daughter Date Ideas in Dubai: Outings for a 2 and a 4 Year Old
Five outings for you and two small girls, from a rainforest to a paint studio, with what each costs, who gets in free and what to pack.

The short version: for a mum with a 2 and a 4 year old, the dates that work in Dubai are the ones with two hours, one thing to do and somewhere to sit after. Start with The Green Planet (indoors, cool, animals walking past you), XPark Jr (outdoors, water and forts) or Wild Paint House (messy, and you take the painting home).
A mum in the community asked for something "a little memorable and different" that a 4 year old and a 2 year old would both enjoy. These are the places that fit, with the prices and rules from each venue's own page, read on 3 October 2026.
The Green Planet: a rainforest in City Walk
An indoor rainforest with animals and birds around you, which makes it the easy pick when it is too hot outside. The day pass is AED 175 for an adult and AED 150 for a child aged 2 to 10. Under 2s go in free with proof of age, so a 2 year old needs a ticket.
Worth knowing: the soft play area needs socks, the adventure trail needs closed shoes, and food and drink from outside are not allowed. Children must be supervised at all times. Tickets bought online before 3:30 pm for the same day cost less, and the ticket page lists free parking in City Walk.

XPark Jr: forts, water and goats by Kite Beach
A forest-style playground off Kite Beach with water play, wooden forts, a sand area and an animal encounter with tortoises and goats. Entry is AED 80 per child with one adult, for two hours, for ages 1 to 12, so two girls come to AED 160 for you and them. The park says it takes all ages, though some features suit ages 5 to 12, so keep the 2 year old close.
Sessions run 8:00 to 10:00, 10:30 to 12:30, 1:00 to 3:00 and 3:30 to 6:00, seven days a week. Take a change of clothes: the water play is the point.

Wild Paint House: art you can be messy at
A paint studio in Al Quoz where there is no skill needed and the walls are, in their words, fair game. A paying adult adds a child package for AED 110 per child, which covers tools, protective wear and a small canvas. Prices for the adult package are on their booking page, so check it before you go. The paint is a child-safe, non-toxic tempera and they provide aprons and shoe covers.
The Spin experience is for kids above 1 metre, so a 2 year old will do better with the standard painting. You supervise your own children, canvases need up to 48 hours to dry and can be collected after, and booking online guarantees your slot.
Children's City: the cheap one
A children's science and nature centre in Creek Park for ages 2 to 15, with a toddler area (climbing structure and a ball pool) for children up to 110 cm. Entry is AED 10 for a child and AED 15 for an adult, under 2s are free, and a family ticket for two adults and two children is AED 40. A Planetarium and an Earth Sciences Gallery are listed as coming soon, so do not plan around them yet.
Dubai Butterfly Garden: cool domes, slow pace
Indoor domes kept at 18 to 25 degrees, with the butterfly life cycle from egg to adult. The page lists AED 70 for adults, AED 50 for children and free for under 3s (ID needed), strollers are welcome and outside food is not. It closes for a summer renovation and reopens for the season, so check the page for the date before you drive over.

Make it a date, not an errand
- Pick one place, not three. Two hours is a good length for a 2 year old
- Go at the start of a session, when it is quietest and nobody is tired
- Pack a spare outfit, wipes and your own snacks for the car (several of these venues do not allow outside food inside)
- Let each girl choose one thing to do, then follow them
- Finish with something slow: XPark Jr is beside Kite Beach, which lists free parking, washrooms and baby-changing rooms
More days out close to home
If you want more outdoor ideas first, Best Parks in Dubai for Families lists fees and hours for parks across the city. Older girls can come back to these places when they are ready for the Spin experience or the full trails.
Something to do this week
Choose one of the five, book the first session of the day, and put it in your calendar for a weekday morning when it is quiet. See what else is on at mumma's calendar, and tell the community which one your girls picked.
