Parent Child Date Ideas in Dubai: One-on-One Outings by Age and Budget

Five outings for one parent and one child, from a AED 5 park to the aquarium, with what each costs, who gets in free and when to go.

Father and young son sharing a snack on a picnic blanket in a sunny park

The short version: a parent-and-child date in Dubai works best when it is one place, two hours and a plan for something to eat after. For the lowest cost, start with Zabeel Park at AED 5. For something cool and indoors, pick Dubai Aquarium. For a free hour with a child who likes animals, the flamingo hide at Ras Al Khor is the one.

These are the places that suit one adult and one child, whatever your family looks like, with the prices and hours from each venue's own page, read on 3 October 2026. Mother and daughter, or father and son? We have those too: Mother Daughter Date Ideas in Dubai and Father Son Date Ideas in Dubai.

Zabeel Park: the AED 5 date

Dubai Municipality's park page lists admission at AED 5 for adults and AED 5 for children over 2, free under 2, and says several people can share one ticket. That makes it the cheapest outing here. The park is a 10-minute walk from Max metro station, so you can leave the car at home. Opening hours change by day, so check the park's page on the day you go.

Bring a ball, a picnic and nothing else. The date is the two of you choosing which path to take.

Dubai Frame: a view from the top, next door

Inside Zabeel Park, Dubai Frame is open 8:00 am to 9:00 pm all year, though times can shift during Ramadan and public holidays. Tickets are AED 50 for adults and AED 20 for children aged 3 to 12. Under 3s are free. Pair it with the park and you have a morning for AED 80 for one adult and one child.

Dubai Garden Glow: dinosaurs after dark

Garden Glow has moved next to Dubai Frame at Zabeel Park Gate 3. The entry ticket covers two parks, a dinosaur park with life-size animatronic dinosaurs and a fantasy park of large light-up structures, at AED 73.5. It is open Wednesday to Monday, 4 pm to 9 pm, and closed on Tuesdays except public holidays. The website lists those as summer timings, so check before you go. We could not find a child price on the page, so look at the ticket options when you book.

Ras Al Khor flamingo hide: free and quiet

Dubai Municipality lists a flamingo hide at Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary, with flamingos "all year round". Families can walk in during opening hours, with walk-in registration, and you may be asked for your Emirates ID, so bring it. The mangrove hide is temporarily closed, so go to the flamingo hide. The page does not list hours or a fee, so check with Dubai Municipality before you drive over.

It is a good one for a child who can stay still for ten minutes, and a better one for a parent who needs a calm hour.

Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo: the cool, indoor date

The aquarium is open 365 days a year: Monday to Friday 11:00 am to 9:00 pm, Saturday and Sunday 10:00 am to 9:00 pm, last entry 8:15 pm. The ticket page lists a ticket at AED 169 (reduced from AED 199), a 4 for 3 pass for groups, and a 15% UAE resident discount on the Silver Pass. The page does not show a child price in the part we read, so check the ticket options for your child's age before you book.
